Tool & Die Designer/Engineer

Position Summary

Koch Glitsch LP in Wichita, Kansas is seeking an experienced Tool & Die Designer/Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, the successful individual with a "can do" attitude will have a sense of urgency which drives results. Primary responsibilities will include:



  • Designing new tools

  • Participating in process development

  • Maintaining drawing documentation

  • Modifying existing designs as necessary to support manufacturing, quoting and/or revised tooling, parts and processes

  • Determine capability of potential upcoming projects

  • Maintains CAD/CAM software/hardware and print document control systems

  • Performs quoting of tooling and production projects


 
Requirements

  • 5 years minimum experience required

  • 10 years exp preferred

  •  3+ years experience in AutoCAD and or SolidWorks

  • Understanding of the stamping process and industry

  • Experience with product design for manufacturability and product development

  • Proficiency in Microsoft XP, Word and Excel

  • Familiarity with CAM programs required

  • Familiarity with Inventor a plus

  • Good communication skills

  • HS Diploma or GED required

  • 2 year Mechanical Engineering Technologhy Certificate/Degree preferred

  • 4 year Mechanical Engineering Degree preferred

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required

  • Familiar with GibbsCAM preferred
