| Position Summary | |
| Develop IT solutions for KS&T. This person acts as the subject matter expert on a particular application and may mentor others. Either perform or provide input to Detailed Design based on the functional design including the object model, database architecture, and programming. Perform Construction of (program) software solutions to implement the design. Perform Unit Testing of software applications. Provide support for existing applications. Troubleshoot problems when they arise within existing applications. Implies ability to quickly identify problem, assess alternatives, and apply the best solution in others source code. Provide recommendations on how to improve functional design including interfaces and process flow. | |
| Requirements | |
| • College degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, or 5+ years of equivalent experience • Must be able to understand and communicate complex problems/solutions • Full technical knowledge of all phases of applications development life cycle • Mentor for more entry level programmers • 5+ years experience as programmer/analyst, developing and supporting applications • Minimum 3 years developing RDBMS applications • Demonstrated proficiency with C#, C++ or Java and object-oriented development • Strong understanding of software engineering disciplines • Ability to do project management and execution of small to intermediate projects Preferred • Knowledge of the trading business would be a plus • MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Math |
