| Position Summary |
Primary Responsibilities Include:
• Provide day-to-day HR guidance and support to managers and employees in the areas of policies and practices. Serve as first point of contact in the handling of employee and labor relations issues. • Maintain compliant application of compensation policies and practices including pay adjustments and salary/wage analysis, assist in administering annual review/merit process, and provide back-up support for the payroll process at the plant. • Manage the recruitment and selection process for the site by attending job fairs, writing advertisements, screening applicants and participating in employment interviews as needed. Coordinate New Employee Orientation and on-boarding on new hires. • Provide proactive employee data and information to supervisors to assist in the management of their workforce. • Conduct compliance and HR related investigations as needed and ensure a fair and thorough investigation process and timely issue resolution. • Provide payroll, recruiting, and employee relations support for the Longview, TX location

| Requirements |
• At least 4 years of progressive human resources generalist experience • At least 1 year in an union environment • Solid compliance systems foundation • Self directed, organized and able to handle competing priorities • Excellent judgment and discretion in handling confidential matters • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills • Experience with HR Smart, Kronos, PeopleSoft, and SAP • Experience with a large manufacturing/production environment, preferably petro-chemical industry • Experience working in a multi-site facility
Education Required: • Bachelor Degree
Education Preferred: • Bachelor Degree in Human Resources • PHR
Physical Demands or Unusual working Conditions: Able to work in process areas including climbing and use of personal protective equipment
