Primary Responsibilities Include:
• Lead the Inspection Department focus on plant safety, environmental and reliability excellence
• Develop capability among inspection personnel through active coaching and mentoring
• Manage the on-stream inspection programs for piping, vessels, exchangers, tanks, heater, and relief devices
• Maintain relations with the Texas State Boiler Inspector and the site's owner-user Inspection Agency status
• Lead implementation of Mechanical Integrity Program as related to Fixed Equipment Inspection
• Develop repair scopes that increase equipment life cycle value and maintain integrity
• Develop and review turnaround/shutdown work lists for fixed equipment
• Manage the QA/QC activities on new construction and repair projects
• Lead implementation and sustainability of the Risk Based Inspection Program
• Support Root Cause Failure Analysis effort within Fixed Reliability to improve system reliability and prevent recurrence
• Assist with training appropriate personnel on Mechanical Integrity and On-Stream Inspection Programs
 
Requirements

Work Experience & Skills Required:
5 + years plant inspection (excluding experience gained as a contractor)

Education Required:
• High School diploma or GED 
• American Petroleum Institute certifications: API 510, API 570, and API 653 (with demonstrated utilization of each on a regular basis) 

Education Preferred:
Associate Degree or higher (any discipline)

Physical Demands or Unusual Working Conditions: 
Stooping, bending, crawling, pushing, pulling and squatting 
Climbing heights of up to 180 feet (stairs and ladders) and climbing portable ladders up to 25 feet 
Walking up and down stairs frequently 
Constantly (2/3 or more of the time) hearing, seeing (acuity - near far and depth) 
Exposure to environmental conditions (frequently walking in and outdoors) with exposure to extreme warm and cold temperatures 
Lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and 30 pounds frequently
