ROLES, RESPONSIBILITIES and EXPECTATIONS:
Our team in Port Arthur, TX is looking to add an individual who has professional experience as a Laboratory Technician. As you help to guide Laboratory services at FHR Port Arthur, you will have an opportunity to take your career to the next level. Your primary responsibilities will include the following:
• Performing analytical test methods (Gas chromatograph)
• Use computer (LIMS, Microsoft Office)
• Understanding and application of Site Safe Work Practices LOTO, Permitting
• Mechanical aptitude to trouble shoot, adjust and repair routine equipment issues
• Ability to follow procedures while working in a plant environment to draw samples

| Requirements |
WORK EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
Along with a commitment to integrity and compliance, qualified candidates will demonstrate strong verbal, written, and PC skills. The qualified candidate will have 3+ years experience in a refinery or chemical plant laboratory.
Experience working with some of the following laboratory testing and equipment:
• gas chromatography,
• distillation,
• MDA and other sulfur analyzers,
• gravitometers,
• flash,
• X-ray, and
• mass spectrometry.
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High School Diploma or equivalent and Some College
EDUCATION PREFERRED:
B.S. in Chemistry from an accredited school
PHYSICAL DEMANDS or UNUSUAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Some climbing, lifting, carrying up to 50 pounds, respirator use, typical plant working environment
